I discovered a really fascinating game, and felt like sharing with you some of it's meta-info to chew on!

These questions will help you explore your beliefs about life, death and other people. There are no right or wrong answers. Try experimenting with different combinations and approaches. And don't worry about changing your mind.

As you answer more questions, your answers will map your position onto a graph which we’ve called The Death Dial. The two scales on this graph suggest how your answers combine into a view about the world. You can compare and share your results with friends on Facebook, and see how you match up next to some amazing people from history. What kind of a thinker are you? Are you a leader, a believer, a scientist, a mystic, or something else entirely?

There are no such things as better or worse answers. But you may find new ways of thinking about how you are defined by your personality and beliefs – and what lies beneath different ways of thinking about life and death.

If you do not wish to be spoiled to the exact nature of the questions, look no further. All italicized information presented is credited to the makers of the game: C4Education and Preloaded.

My Result:
The Crusader
The “Crusader” likes to think by appealing to others’ views, and by considering their larger place in society and the world. They do what they do in the name of other people – but like their actions to be based on facts and real-world considerations rather than just feelings.

This makes Crusaders good political leaders: people who are prepared to do great things in the name of the common good, but not necessarily in the name of faith. Ultimately, this means applying rigorous analysis to the business of other people – and trying to work out what actions might be best for the world as a whole.

Key attributes
  • Interested in the common good
  • Committed to practical actions
  • Empathetic, but not ruled by emotion
  • Rigorous analysts of the world

You are an Awakener...
With those answers...

An Awakener is someone who is not afraid to be guided by strong feelings – and who tends to reflect these outwards on the world. Acting as much from instinct and emotion as from reason, these people can transform the world around them: through words, through actions, or simply through example.

An Awakener attaches deep importance to other people. This can mean an interest in the inner natures of others, or a deeply-held desire to act on their behalf. Like the Mystic type of personality, these are traits that can produce incredible acts of heroism, or errors of judgement and obstinacy, depending on the individual.

Key attributes
-Guided by strong feelings
-Interested in other people
-Aims to open others’ minds
-Prepared to defy authority

You are a Mystic Truth-Teller...
With those answers...

This sector marks a balance between the Truth-teller’s capacity for focused insight and the Mystic’s ability to counter the rational side of the mind with intuition and emotional intensity.

Depending on how strongly these traits are manifested, this personality may be extremely intense and introverted – or simply someone who has the capacity to look deeply into themselves, and to balance intellect with personal belief.

Key attributes
-Belief in value of own thoughts
-Not ruled by others’ views
-Able to balance reason and emotion
-Great capacity for insight

It's interesting, isn't it? See, the children one. Is it important to have children? No. Is it important to have a child and love it? To some. Is it important to love and nourish all children? Hell yes.

Like the way your brain works.

You are a Mystic...
With those answers...

“The Mystic” is a personality type with a strong internal system of beliefs: someone who gives weight to their own intuitions and priorities. They are prepared to make leaps of faith, and to act with great confidence so long as something accords with their own strongly held feelings.

This can manifest in mystical and spiritual beliefs, or simply in a deeply-felt sense of self and of a calling in life. Their passionate insights may well help to inspire others, and their vision of the world may have great influence long after they themselves are gone.

Key attributes
-Makes leaps of faith
-Tolerates others' doubt
-Strong sense of self
-Intense personal vision of the world
